sdr-core rev 162

I am working with Frank on adding gain controls for the input and output of DttSP. The control of the output gain of DttSP will resolve the problem of no audio output that I am seeing with the latest revision of DttSP.

This should also resolve the problem of controlling the transmit drive as I will now be able to adjust the gain on the I/Q output to the transmitter. More to come later ...

The latest rev 72 contains the updated source code for the gain controls and also the updated binaries for sdr-core (both linux and mac).

Hi,

I have Java-GUI running OK on my Intel Macbook running 10.5.1.

I have found this project to be very interesting and I like the look of the swing GUI on OSX. Nice project.

On the DSP side, I noticed on your video demo that I could hear an occasional drop out in the background noise.

On my mac I get the same symptom (but more often) which shows up as a horizontal line on the waterfall.

It sounds to me like a JVM garbage collection issue but that is pure guesswork.

have you noticed the same symptom.?

The video dropouts are caused by the frame grabbing software (iShouwU) runing at the same time. It is pushing the limits of the Mac. I don't get the dropouts running it normally. What Macbook do you have? Mine is a 2.2GHz, Dual Core with 2GB Memory. What sound card are you using?

Hi John,

While compiling I was using the internal sound card, I will try it next on my Maudio firewire interface in the shack and see if that makes a difference. I would hope so:-).
